Have you tried out this Bull Bay Assault spinning rod yet? It’s definitely a nice inshore fishing rod.
Of course, no fishing rod is perfect… so in this unbiased spinning rod review, I reveal the top pros and cons of the Bull Bay rod.
Here are some of my findings:
Pros of the Bull Bay Assault Rod:
Lightweight
Strong
Made of great parts
Made in USA (yeah!!!)
Cons of the Bull Bay Assault rod:
The rod power rating was a bit off
I wasn’t a huge fan of the split grip handle
Other than that, awesome rod and I’ll continue to personally use it (and I’m not paid or compensated to use this rod).

Love how you guys don’t take sponsors and give truthful reviews without being biased. Not that there is anything wrong with sponsors but it makes me feel better about buying products, yall have an awesome thing going in Salt Strong and I truly appreciate it, tight lines from North Carolina!

I’d rather have a lamiglass
I own 4 of there rods and wouldn’t trade them for anything. Customer service has been fantastic
The number one con I found of bull bays is that no two rods are the same. Like you can pick up a medium heavy assault 7’6 and another medium heavy assault 7’6 and if you look at the blank one seems to always be different than the other wether it be circumference of the blank, look or feel. One of the main reasons I sold mine. I can’t like a rod just to buy another one that feels unequal to the last when it should be identical!
I own 3 of them…all of differing size ranges: 6-12#, 15#, and 8-17# and they work for every application I can imagine for myself! Customer service is another excellent aspect of the company! Looking forward to getting more! Question for you is: given price, do you prefer them over TFO?
What’s your number 1 favorite rod brand and choice out off the rod you review and use
‘Merica. Hey, made in the USA is especially important to us veterans 🙂
