Okuma 30 Trio Spinning Reel: 1 Year Review

In this short video I review the Okuma 30 Trio Spinning Reel since I have had these 4 reels for about a year now and I love them. They are smooth, durable, it has a great drag system, nice finish and they are tough. I’m not the easiest on reels and it has held up with my punishment very well in saltwater and freshwater. Great thing about this reel is for the money you are getting a lot of reel that normally cost a lot more. They are very reasonably priced, anywhere from $30.00 to $65.00. Depending where you buy it. Check them out!!

I use that exact spinning reel (Okuma 30 gray 5-to-1) and I completely agree: very happy with it. I use it mainly to kayak catch smallmouth bass on 8 lb fluoro in Canada where I live. Anyway: very versatile reel. Also I have one of each of the Okuma faster versions (30S and 40S). Those reels let me “stay away” from fast expensive baitcaster reels.

I Think I have had mine for three years now and the plastic on the inside of the crank just broke and now the crank makes contact with the spool but I think I’m going to order another one
