I have the 3000 and the 4000 for the money they’re great real smooth drags. I’ve caught a lot of fish even dolphin on these reels. good luck with the reels George,

What type of sealing does this reel have? Can it be dunked? That will accidentally happen to most folks.

That handle… it’s a big round ball. Not sure what to think of that. I got a reel for my nephew for Christmas and considered the $100+ Pflueger, but they only have that damn TAB on their reals. I hate tabs. Prefer the T-handle. Also don’t understand why the reel manufactures don’t all use the standard size…. 1000, 2000, 3000, etc. Couldn’t figure out what actual size the Shimanos I looked at online were – Shiimano used to use the same size names as Daiwa, but apparently not anymore. So I went with the Daiwa BG instead. T-handle and I knew what size I was getting (3000).
