Worm Fishing Tips for Fall and Winter

Forget finesse, this video is about big worms and shaky heads to power through the cooler months. If you aren’t ready to dropshot, this video is for you! Finesse is great but if your fish are willing to feed, feeding them, a bigger meal can upsize your catch. Turn to the shaky head this Winter when everyone else has given up and you might be surprised by what happens next.

Everyone knows the power of the shaky head for Summer bass. Somehow anglers overlook the effectiveness the rest of the year. As the water cools consider picking up a shaky head with a lighter wire hook, tying it on a lighter rod, and trying to catch a big bass when nothing else will bite.

Below is a breakdown of the worms, hooks, and tackle we have the most confidence in with this technique. Remember, keep it simple. You’re not looking for a ton of bites as the water cools, you’re looking for the right bites. Stick to confidence colors for the best results.
