Trout Fishing an ICY COLD Creek! (Winter Fishing Tips)

AMAZING day of Winter Fishing!!! Exploring a creek I’ve never fished before, my patience was put to the test as the crystal clear creek was devoid of life the first mile of wading. Exhausted and cold in the 40 degree water, I kept grinding desperately trying to avoid my third skunk in a row. After two fishless hours, my efforts were rewarded and I managed to find the mother load of rainbow trout!!!

Disclaimer I have been fishing creeks and rivers my whole life along with Lakes but I’m not a pro. Here are a few things that I’ve learned. Always go up River and stay behind where you’re trying to catch fish these fish have good eyes and they can see you. 2 if these fish are native soft Plastics with garlic scent might not do as good live bait like nightcrawlers in the most natural orientation possible do really good but stockers aren’t as smart and soft Plastics can do good just avoid garlic sent 3 if fish are looking up stream it doesn’t mean that they’re hungry that’s just in their DNA to look up stream if they’re hungry tired or not hungry, fish tend to look up stream plus I have you ever seen a fish swimming backwards with its tail up River? Great vid man next time you do some Creek Fishing try these tips and you might do a little bit better
