Haneix says:

Great tips, love making homemade feathers makes me feel like I put in the effort to catch and cook the fish, eating fresh mackerel right now, I have a great mark with my kayak at my local harbour and it’s teeming with them, it’s really nice to see as there have been none for ages, they range from a few ounces to a pound, great to see big ones and small ones, too often it is only wee joeys. Thanks for the video Graham, love adding little tips to my noggin.

CodGaming says:

What’s your day job Graeme?

olly smith says:

I use crisp packets they work a treat to redo feathers

Tina Gallagher says:

I LOVE learning from this channel!

Roger Geary says:

Graeme – not sure about handling and returning mackerel… there’s lots of evidence they die within a day or so due to break down of their protective film after touching them, even with wet hands – they are particularly sensitive, loads more than other fish.. – better to shake them off the hook. Cheers.

Neil Pow says:

Hi Graeme, loved the last video, well I love all your video. Just a question. Have you ever heard of Mackerel dieing whenever they are handled and thrown back in?.. do you know if that is a myth or old wives tale. Keep up the good work.
