You both are doing a great job – love your videos and the links below. FYI – the Orra Winch link didn’t work for me.
You should do a vid series on actual combos, the set ups that are offered together already. Just an idea heading into spring.
Falcon bucoo is a great $100 rod
I am looking for the fastest spin casting reel for my wife. you got any ideas
I’m seeing this way late but I figured I’d try. I live in GA and for the most part I fish for bass, but once a year for 2 weeks I go to northern wisconsin near the UP border and fish for Musky. how would the 8ft Heavy swimbait Dobyns hold up to a Musky. I hate to spend a lot of money on something I only use 2 weeks a year and I can find other uses for that rod in GA. Thanks
Great job tips gentlemen! Have you guys heard about the 17.40lbs bass caught in Lake Don Pedro?
I’ve got a NASCI 3000 series and it beats the living hell out of my knuckles unless I maintain a very specific grip.
I have a 6 10 lews Mach 1. Would it be worth it to get a exage and one of the reels in the video? I want more sensitivity than my lews
What ever happened to the Shimano Nasci and the Shimano Compre?
Love this video. for myself at this point in time this is about my range. The 200 to 300 is where I’m looking most of the time. thank you guys for taking the time to do a video like this and the next few. really enjoy watching and learning from your channel. keep up the great work. safe travels and God bless you both and all your loved ones.
Does anyone have any opinions on a Duckett rod? I’m looking to buy the micro Magic! I want something strong but super sensitive for under $160
Hi Matt. I think you’ve said before that you like the moderate fast action for a jig rod. What do you think about using the Dobyn’s Fury 7′ Medium Heavy Crankbait rod for jigs?
Other than the Abu Garcia what was the difference from 2016? Nothing… not trying to be an ass, but come on. I’ve learned things from your videos and I don’t just reply to argue on the internet. Has nothing changed in a year. Hve you tried kastking stuff? I would think you would have at least changed the reels in a year. Sorry if I came off like a douche. But I’m just saying…
If you were going to buy one rod to throw a 6 inch bull shad and a 8 inch Huddleston on the same rod would you recommend the 7’9″ Med Heavy Dobyns Fury or the Dobyns Fury 8′ heavy swimbait? I kind of worry about the 8 ft being too heavy of an action.
Thanks
Do you recommend lesser st croix rods like mojo bass or bass x rods?
What editing software do you use
Which would you recommend the 733 or the 734 fury? I have heard that the mh runs on the light side.
Can not find the orra winch for sale anywhere
Orra Winch hasn’t been around for awhile. I think it was replaced with the SX
I am certain you guys get this comment very often and I know you stray away from rods and reels under $100 but I am a college student and I can not afford $200 combos. I completely understand the reasoning for not choosing rods and reels under $100 but I was just wondering if either of you have used the Berkley Lightning Shock casting rods or the Daiwa Aird X spinning rods and what your opinions are relative to budget gear?
What’s your oppinion on the 13 fishing defy black
I saw this video for the first time ever today, and about 2 weeks ago I bought a Caenen and a dobyns fury for jigs and t rigs, this is awesome. This validated my decision.
I want taticalbassin grey hoodie like u have on in this video were can i get it
how do i get a tacticalbassin hoody? or any tactical gear..
Have a dobyns 702 coming for shaky heads that I ordered on black friday. Hopefully this rod is not too light for them as this is my first shaky head rod. Im pairing it with a stradic ci4
Looking to buy a dobyns furry was thinking the 7’6” med heavy to throw frogs to gantarel jr and 6” trash fish
Should I go with the 7’6” or 7’9”
Phenix maxim 6’10 mh fast action paired with a shimano casitas is one of the best combos its better than a loomis e6x lighter more sensitive and durable It’s very good all around the board it makes loomis look overpriced if we are being honest
Bought the Abu Garcia orra winch and Dobyns fury 7′ med/hvy fast action rod. What line would you recomend? 90% Texas rig and jigs
I’ve chosen the St. Croix Mojo Bass 7’1” Med. Hvy with a Shimano Sedona C3000HG. What’s your thoughts? $200
I wish they weren’t so obvious about only picking Shimano. Great company but come on
shimano,,,,reels ok reels, but hate the cracking open to adjust brakes,,,that is just crazy,, ,, you should try some pflueger reels out, like johnny morris platinum signature,,,,,far better than metantium and half the price
I want you to cut off your ponytail
How do you guys feel about the Lew’s Speed Spool?
Any opinion on the kastking reels? Speed demon or otherwise?
Thank you guys so much for doing this. Trying to get me and my little boy set up on a budget and this helps so much.
Thoughts on the Dobyns Fury 6’6” (rather than 7’) casting rod for seated kayak – primarily jerk and poppers? TY
In the dobyns fury line what would you recommend for a swim jig rod mainly 3/8 oz
I have the Mach 1 Lews with a speed stick Mach 1 rod, is it really worth it to get the Mach 2 combo for 100 dollars more?
