Fishing BIG Swimbaits in a Small Pond?

I head out to a new pond to fish with a couple of subs! The action was insane right off the bat, with double ups and even triple ups fishing topwaters and swim jigs. The problem was the fish were lacking in size a bit, so we decided to try a challenge to see if we could find some bigger fish. We each fished a hard body swimbait, and who can catch the biggest bass in an hour wins!

Lucas DeJager Outdoors says:

One tip I’ve learned with swimbaits is that if you are reeling at a steady retrieve, if you stop and start the bait it triggers reaction strikes, burning the bait back for 2-3 seconds works well, but my favorite is if you reel at a steady retrieve, jerk the swimbait and give it slack ( like a spook ) and most times the swimbait turns almost 180 degrees and really fires up any followers, I don’t know if it works for all swimbaits though. Good luck next time!!
